Brian Swann’s newest collection of poetry, In Late Light, is part of the Johns Hopkins Poetry and Fiction series.
Eamon Grennan says: “This various and vital collection in which articulate engagement with the sensual stuff of the natural world coexists with philosophic riffs on the meaning of night scents, stars, fireflies, and even family history is a brave, various, adventurous book that reveals with the tang of clear, immediate speech a poet in the fully earned maturity of his power.”
Brian Swann is the winner of The Ohio State University Press/The Journal Award for his collection of poetry Autumn Road, and winner of the Lena-Miles Wever Todd Prize for Pleiades Press/LSU Press for his collection Snow House. His poetry appeared in NER 28.1.
In Late Light is available from Powell’s and other booksellers.
