Margaree Little Reads at Bread Loaf

molly-littleMargaree Little gave a moving reading of two poems at the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference on August 14, 2015, where she was the John Ciardi Scholar in Poetry. The first poem included in this reading, “The Visit,” was published in NER 33.3. The second, “Revision,” was included in the Missouri Review‘s Vol. 35.3 in 2012.

Little’s first collection, Rest, is forthcoming from Four Way Books in 2018. She is the recipient of fellowships and awards from the Rona Jaffe Foundation, the Tyrone Guthrie Center, and the Kenyon Review Writers Workshop. Her poems appear in American Poetry Review, New England Review, Missouri Review, Southern Review, and Quarterly West, among other journals. She lives in Tucson.

 

Margaree Little wins 2013 Rona Jaffe Foundation Award

Margaree LittlePoet and NER contributor Margaree Little has recently received a 2013 Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers’ Award, an honor annually given to six emerging women writers. Created by novelist Rona Jaffe to support the careers of promising female authors, each selected recipient receives a $30,000 award.

The 2013 winners are Tiffany Briere, Ashlee Crews, Kristin Dombek, Margaree Little, Kirstin Valdez Quade, and Jill Sisson Quinn.
